General Features
Thermotar wall-mounted package units are designed for direct expansion (DX) systems and commercial and industrial applications.
Their design provides a compact, robust, and easy-to-integrate solution. In addition, the unit can be installed directly against the exterior wall of the conditioned space.
The unit integrates the main refrigeration and ventilation components into a single system. As a result, the required installation footprint is reduced.
Supply and return air are delivered directly to the conditioned space. Depending on the project requirements, connections can be made through the wall or through ductwork.
The units are available in different capacities and refrigeration configurations, allowing them to be adapted to the design conditions of each application.
Cabinet Features
The cabinet is manufactured from pre-painted galvanized steel, providing mechanical strength, durability, and corrosion protection.
The cabinet is also designed for outdoor installation. Its construction facilitates access to internal components for inspection and service.
The arrangement of the different sections maintains a compact configuration, making the unit suitable for projects where optimizing available installation space is important.
Ventilation System
The evaporator section incorporates centrifugal blowers selected according to the required airflow and static pressure.
Ventilation system configuration also depends on unit capacity and the specific installation conditions.
The condensing section uses axial fans to provide the airflow required through the condenser coil.
This allows the system to reject the heat generated during the refrigeration process to the outdoor environment.
Compressors
The units are available with Scroll compressors selected according to the required capacity and specified refrigerant.
Depending on unit capacity, the equipment can incorporate one or multiple compressors and independent refrigeration circuits. The final configuration is selected according to project requirements.
This provides greater flexibility for different operating conditions and capacity-control requirements.
Evaporator and Condenser Coils
The units incorporate Thermocoil® coils manufactured with copper tubes and aluminum fins, designed to provide efficient heat transfer.
The evaporator coil cools and dehumidifies the air, while the condenser coil rejects the extracted heat to the outdoor environment.
Optional copper/copper coil configurations are also available. Anti-corrosion coatings can also be supplied for highly corrosive environments or coastal applications.
Filtration System
The evaporator section can incorporate air filters selected according to the indoor air quality requirements of each project.
The filters are positioned for convenient access, simplifying inspection, cleaning, and replacement.
Available Refrigerants
The units can be configured for R-410A, R-32, R-454B, and R-290.
Refrigerant selection depends on unit capacity, application requirements, and the applicable technical and regulatory requirements of each project.
