General Features
Thermotar DX uncased fan coil units are designed for direct expansion systems. They provide a compact, versatile, and efficient solution for air treatment and distribution.
Thanks to their open-frame design, they integrate the evaporator coil and ventilation system onto a supporting structure. This allows them to be easily installed above ceilings, within ductwork, or inside field-built enclosures. They are also suitable for applications where a dedicated exterior cabinet is not required.
In addition, they are available in different capacities and electrical configurations. This allows each unit to be adapted to the design conditions and specific requirements of each project.
Structure
The units feature a metal support frame that provides stability and facilitates the integration of their main components.
Because they do not include an exterior cabinet, they offer greater installation flexibility. For this reason, they can be used in confined spaces or within systems where the enclosure and insulation are provided as part of the installation.
Ventilation System
The ventilation system is selected according to the required airflow and static pressure for each application.
Different blower and motor configurations are also available. This allows the unit’s performance to be adapted to the specific conditions of the air distribution system.
Direct Expansion Coil
The units incorporate Thermocoil® coils manufactured with copper tubes and aluminum fins. These coils provide efficient heat transfer and reliable operation.
The direct expansion coil can also be configured according to the required capacity and operating conditions. It can also be adapted to the number of refrigeration circuits in the system.
Available Refrigerants
The units are available for R-410A, R-32, R-454B, and R-290. Refrigerant selection depends on the technical, safety, and regulatory requirements of each project.
