General Features
Thermotar residential vertical air handlers are designed for direct expansion (DX) systems and residential applications that require a compact, efficient, and reliable solution for conditioned air distribution.
Their vertical configuration helps optimize available installation space and simplifies integration with residential ductwork systems. In addition, the unit can be adapted to different airflow and static pressure requirements.
Available from 1.5 to 5 tons, with configurations selected according to the required capacity and the specific operating conditions of each application.
Cabinet Features
The cabinet is manufactured from pre-painted galvanized steel, designed to provide mechanical strength, durability, and corrosion protection.
Its construction also provides convenient access to internal components for inspection and service. The vertical design allows the unit to make efficient use of the available installation space.
Ventilation System
The ventilation system incorporates a centrifugal blower, selected according to the required airflow and static pressure.
This allows the air handler to provide uniform distribution of conditioned air throughout the residential ductwork system.
The ventilation system configuration is selected according to the unit capacity and the specific conditions of each installation.
Direct Expansion Coil
Equipped with a Thermocoil® coil manufactured with copper tubes and aluminum fins, designed to provide efficient heat transfer and reliable performance.
The coil performs the cooling and dehumidification process before the air is distributed to the conditioned spaces.
As an option, a copper/copper configuration and anti-corrosion coating are available for applications in highly corrosive environments or coastal areas.
Filtration System
The air handler can incorporate air filters according to the indoor air quality requirements of each application.
Its filter location also provides convenient access for inspection, cleaning, and replacement.
Available Refrigerants
Configurations are available for R-410A, R-32, R-454B, and R-290, depending on the unit capacity and the technical and regulatory requirements of each application.
