General Features
Thermotar horizontal water-cooled package units are designed for direct expansion (DX) systems and HVAC applications that require an integrated, compact, and reliable solution.
Their horizontal configuration integrates the main components of the refrigeration, evaporation, water-cooled condensation, and ventilation systems into a single unit, simplifying installation and connection to both the ductwork system and the condenser water circuit.
Supply and return air connections are arranged horizontally, allowing the unit to adapt to different ductwork configurations and specific installation conditions.
Available in different capacities and electrical configurations according to the specific requirements of each project.
Cabinet Features
The cabinet is manufactured from pre-painted galvanized steel, designed to provide mechanical strength, durability, and corrosion protection.
Its compact construction facilitates access to internal components for inspection and service.
The horizontal arrangement of its different sections allows for efficient integration of the components and simplifies connection to both the air distribution system and the hydraulic circuit used for condensation.
Ventilation System
The evaporator section incorporates a centrifugal blower, selected to provide the required airflow and static pressure for the application.
The ventilation system configuration is determined according to the unit capacity, required airflow, external static pressure, and specific installation conditions.
Compressors
Available with Scroll compressors, selected according to the unit capacity and specified refrigerant.
The refrigeration system is designed to provide reliable and efficient operation by integrating the evaporation and condensation processes required for space conditioning within a single unit.
Evaporator Coil
Equipped with Thermocoil® evaporator coils manufactured with copper tubes and aluminum fins, designed to provide efficient heat transfer and reliable performance.
The evaporator coil performs the cooling and dehumidification of the air before it is distributed to the conditioned space.
As an option, copper/copper configurations and anti-corrosion coatings are available for applications in highly corrosive environments or coastal areas.
Water-Cooled Condenser
The system incorporates a water-cooled condenser, which transfers the heat absorbed by the refrigerant during the cooling process to the condenser water circuit.
The condenser connects to an external water circulation system, such as a cooling tower or condenser water loop, according to the project requirements.
Condenser selection is based on the unit capacity, entering and leaving water temperatures, required water flow rate, and specified operating conditions.
Filtration System
The evaporator section can incorporate air filters selected according to the indoor air quality requirements of each application.
The filters are positioned to provide convenient access for inspection, cleaning, or replacement.
Available Refrigerants
Configurations are available for R-410A, R-32, R-454B, and R-290, depending on the unit capacity and the technical and regulatory requirements of each application.
