Thermotar commercial horizontal package units are designed for direct expansion (DX) systems and commercial and industrial HVAC applications.
These units provide an integrated, robust, and reliable solution for a wide range of air-conditioning requirements.
Their horizontal configuration integrates the main components of the refrigeration, evaporation, condensation, and ventilation systems into a single unit. As a result, installation and connection to the ductwork system are simplified.
Supply and return air are handled through horizontal connections. Therefore, the unit can be adapted to different ductwork layouts and installation conditions.
In addition, the units are available in multiple capacities and refrigeration configurations according to the design requirements of each project.
Cabinet Features
The cabinet is manufactured from pre-painted galvanized steel, providing mechanical strength, durability, and corrosion protection.
Its construction is designed for commercial and industrial applications. It also provides convenient access to internal components for inspection and service.
The horizontal arrangement of the different sections allows efficient component integration while simplifying connection to the air distribution system.
Ventilation System
The evaporator section incorporates centrifugal blowers selected according to the required airflow and static pressure.
Ventilation system configuration depends on unit capacity and the specific installation conditions. Required airflow and external static pressure are also considered during selection.
The condensing section, on the other hand, uses axial fans to provide the required airflow through the condenser coil.
This configuration ensures proper heat rejection to the outdoor environment.
Compressors
The units are available with Scroll compressors selected according to unit capacity and the specified refrigerant.
Depending on the required configuration, the equipment can incorporate one or multiple compressors. It can also include several independent refrigeration circuits.
This arrangement provides greater design flexibility and allows the unit capacity to be adapted to the specific requirements of each application.
Evaporator and Condenser Coils
The units incorporate Thermocoil® coils manufactured with copper tubes and aluminum fins, providing efficient and reliable heat transfer.
The evaporator coil cools and dehumidifies the air, while the condenser coil rejects the extracted heat to the outdoor environment.
Optional copper/copper coils are also available. Anti-corrosion coatings can also be supplied for highly corrosive environments or coastal applications.
Filtration System
The evaporator section can incorporate air filters selected according to the indoor air quality requirements of each project.
Their location also provides convenient access for inspection, cleaning, and replacement.
Available Refrigerants
The units can be configured for R-410A, R-32, R-454B, and R-290.
Refrigerant selection depends on unit capacity, as well as the technical and regulatory requirements applicable to each project.
